ICES 2023

The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology (SAASST) participated in the 5th International Conference and Exhibition for Sciences (ICES 2023) in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from Feb. 06-08, 2023.

ICES2023 aimed to promote academic exchange and cooperation in the field of natural sciences, life sciences, and especially mathematics, in addition to highlighting the contribution and role of women in science. This conference was dedicated to providing an efficient exchange platform for experts and scholars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad who are engaged in related fields to share their experiences, innovative ideas, and different technologies.

SAASST contributed more than ten scientific papers from the Space Sciences Department (Prof. Ilias Fernini, Ms. Noora Al-Ameri, Mrs. Aisha Al-Owais, Ms. Maryam al-Qasimi, Mrs. Fatima Al-Ketbi, Mrs. Maryam Essa Sharif), the Sharjah Optical Observatories (Prof. Mashhoor Al-Wardat, Mr. Mohamed Talafha, Mr. Ammar Eissa), and the Planetarium Department (Ms. Fatima Al-Khateri). In addition, the "Sharjah-Sat-2" paper received the fourth prize in terms of the best paper presentation by Mrs. Fatima Al-Ketbi. Below is the full list of contributions.
