The lecturer then spoke about the various subsystems to make a satellite work, including structure, power, communication subsystems, and many more. In addition, the satellites must go through a series of tests before being launched to ensure that the satellite components will stay intact and not scatter in space. The satellites also have to go through a deployment method that requires astronauts to launch the satellites manually from the International Space Station or a rocket. Lastly, the lecturer encouraged the audience to take part in launching a CubeSat satellite to learn more about them.
