Bright Meteor Observation
UAEMMN - A UAEMMN station in Sharjah captured an extremely bright meteor on Dec. 20, 2022, at 03:42:25 (local time) by a camera directed toward the northeast.

Radio Astronomy Workshop
The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology organized a special "Radio Astronomy Workshop" on Nov. 03, 2022. The workshop aims to introduce the basics of radio astronomy and the different frequency ranges used in radio observations.
SAASST UAEMMN Detects a Huge Fireball
A spectacular fireball was captured by the UAE Meteor Monitoring Network (UAEMMN) on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022. This fireball belongs to the Taurid meteor shower, which occurs every year from the end of October to the beginning of November when the debris stream from Comet 2P/Encke hits Earth.
The Remarkable Life of Stars Mr. Ammar Abdulla – MSc Student
The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology organized a special lecture on Oct. 26, 2022, under the title “The Remarkable Life of Stars.” The lecture was given by Mr. Ammar Abdulla, an MSc student in Astronomy and Space Sciences at the University of Stars.
UAEMMN Observation Report. Orionids Meteor Shower Peak-2022
The Orionids are a moderately intense meteor shower that sometimes reaches extreme activity levels. The shower is active from September 26th to November 22nd, 2022. It is expected to peak on Oct. 20–21, 2022, when the Moon phase is waning crescent, 21% full.
Report on the Partial Solar Eclipse
The Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology has organized a special observing session for the partial solar eclipse of Oct. 25, 2022. More than 1,000 people witnessed this rare event that will not happen in the United Arab Emirates until Aug. 02, 2027.
